So, for a while I've been wanting another tattoo but changed my mind on what exactly I wanted a lot
until I started reading A Song of Ice and Fire and fell in love with a quote often said by Arya Stark
'Fear cuts deeper than swords'
On monday during a break at uni, I went to a very nearby studio and had a chat with one of their tattooists, who was super cool and lovely
Anyway, he was free on Friday afternoon, and so I booked my appointment for then.
Since my uni hours for friday were cancelled, I meta friend for lunch before heading to the appointment. Yummy salmon pancakes at Lemon Witch!!
When I got to the studio, I filled out the consent form and waited for a while, joking with my friend. after like 20 minutes, I was able to have the transfer put on and boy was I shocked at how big it looked on my arm.
I was internally freaking out, but I remembered. Fear cuts deeper than swords.
more waiting happened then Glenn was ready for me, he was lovely and kept me at ease, chatting about game of thrones and star wars.
God DAMN, it hurt more than I was expecting, one end of the piece almost reaches my hand and another small piece is on the inside of my elbow. Those bits were the worst.
After a while, the buzzing of the machine kinda made me zone out and get very sleepy, which was a good thing, because of PAIN
I started to swell pretty quick, so that made the shading and colouring extra painful, for my last big piece ~6 year ago, the colouring and shading were the easiest parts, so I found the flipped experience something completely new.
luckily the colouring only took a short while and I was free to go!
Got a new tattoo, it's wicked, I love it
